General:

The Bulgarian sculptor Zdravko, during his participation in the 30th Aswan International Sculpture Symposium, embarks on a special artistic adventure with the massive granite block, in order to achieve an idea based on presenting a sculptural work that represents an abstract structure developing in space.

According to his vision, the work, which he gives the name "Structure of Imagination," is heavier and more balanced at the bottom, and lighter at the top, creating the impression that the elements are about to separate,as if they are about to fly. But this flight remains only in imagination; like a distant, unattainable dream, yet in the depths of the mind it is capable of touching the idea.

Zdravko relies in his work on extensive experience and multiple experiments in the field of sculpture, which he began with studies at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he graduated in 2006, specializing in the art of sculpture.

His experience developed through participation in many international sculpture symposiums around the world, which he began in 2012. Over nearly fifteen years, he acquired extensive expertise in performing artistic work from different countries. However, his participation in the Aswan Symposium remains a special station, on which he comments: "Every symposium has its own particularity, but few have a history extending more than thirtyyears." He points outthatworkingon granite under the winter sun of Aswan, walking around the city, interacting with people, the movement of the streets, and the smells of the places are all details he will never forget, and they will remain present in his memory.

Zdravko also referred to his journey to the city of Luxor, which he said was a very inspiring experience; he saw temples and sculptures he had previously only known from books, which was moving and important for him.
